Group Training Program Games
Defender
Defender is a 2v2 game that begins with 2 people from each team on opposing sides. The goal for each team is to have one person successfully cross into the end zone without being tagged. There is a mid line which separates who can tag who. Both teams start with 3 points each. A point is added to your score when a player from your team crosses into the end zone and deducted from whoever let the touchdown happen. Once a team hits 0 points they lose.
TIc-Tac-Toe Race
Tic-Tac-Toe Race begins with 2 teams at the start line and an empty tic-tac-toe board at the 30 yard line. Each team races to the board and places an X or an O down. Then they race back to the start line and tag the next person to put the next piece down. The game continues until there is a winner. To spice it up there will sometimes be 3 boards in play. The first to get two completed boards wins.
POWER BALL
Power Ball is a 2v2 game that begins with each team inside their own end zone. There are 3 balls on the field. 1 on each end zone and 1 on the mid line. When the game begins, the goal is to steal the opponents ball and bring it back to your end zone. The mid line determines who can tag who. However, if you have a ball in your hand you can be tagged wherever you are. One successful steal brings your team 1 point. The game is to 2. If the game is tied 1-1 then there is a sudden death round where 1 team is on offense and 1 team is on defense. The rule is that the team on offense can be tagged anywhere and if the offensive team touches the opposing teams ball then they will the game. If the defending team tags the offender then they win the round.
Dodgeball
Dodgeball is a game played with 2 teams, 7 balls on the midline and an open field. The goal of the game is to throw the balls and hit members of the other team. Once a player is eliminated they go on the sideline until a ball is caught or the game ends. The game is over when every player from one team is eliminated. If a game lasts longer then 5 minutes it goes into sudden death. In sudden death the court shrinks and there are 4 balls on each corner. Each team chooses one player and whoever hits the other person first is victorious. *Catching the ball does nothing in sudden death*
Noodle Tag
Noodle Tag is a 1v1 game played with 2 pool noodles. The goal of the game is to use the noodle to hit the other person. Each person has 5 lives. If the lives ever tie at 1-1 then the game goes into sudden death. Sudden death restarts the match and shrinks the field size. Once one person is hit the game is over.
Broad jump wars
Broad Jump Wars is a team game held on a football field. The goal of the game is to broad jump to the other side of the field the fastest. Each athlete from each team jumps one at a time. Once the athlete jumps they must hold their position for 2 seconds to confirm where they land. The coach will mark it and then the next person jumps. The teams repeat this process until one team reach the opposite end zone.
